Cred Count ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you as to how we look after your personal data when you use our mobile application ("App") and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

We operate under a "Local-First" philosophy. This means that, by design, we avoid collecting your personal data whenever possible. Your ride logs, trip reports, and memories belong to you and stay on your device.

This policy is designed to be compliant with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. The Data We Collect About You

We deliberately minimize the data we collect. We currently collect and process the following data:

• Feedback Data: If you use the "Suggest Edit" or "Propose Park" features, we collect the specific data you submit (e.g., park name, correction details) and a generated device identifier to manage the submission queue. We do not link this to your personal identity.
• Usage Data: We do not currently track your individual ride logs, location history, or trip details on our servers. This data is stored locally on your device in a SQLite database.
• Analytics: We do not currently use third-party analytics services (like Google Analytics or Firebase). We do not track your behavior within the app.

Aggregated Data

We may collect Aggregated Data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. Aggregated Data could be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal data in law as this data will not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. For example, we may aggregate usage data to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific App feature.

3. How Is Your Personal Data Collected?

• Direct Interactions: You may give us your data by filling in forms (e.g., "Suggest Edit") or by corresponding with us by email.

4. How We Use Your Personal Data

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:

• To Provide the Service: To allow you to download the Global Database of parks and coasters.
• To Improve the Data: To review and verify corrections you submit to the Global Database.
• Legitimate Interests: Where it is necessary for our legitimate interests (or those of a third party) and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests.
• Legal Obligation: Where we need to comply with a legal obligation.

We do NOT sell your data to third parties.

5. Data Security

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. Your personal "User Vault" database is stored securely on your device's internal storage and is sandboxed by the operating system (Android/iOS).

6. Data Retention

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

• Feedback Submissions: Retained until the suggestion is reviewed and either accepted or rejected.
• Local Data: Retained on your device until you delete the App or clear its data.

7. Your Legal Rights

Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data, including the right to:

• Request access to your personal data (commonly known as a "data subject access request").
• Request correction of the personal data that we hold about you.
• Request erasure of your personal data.
• Object to processing of your personal data where we are relying on a legitimate interest.
• Request restriction of processing of your personal data.

• Withdraw consent at any time where we are relying on consent to process your personal data.

9. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
